I am responding to the statement "Students should not tell their teachers about their personal problems, no matter how serious." I dissagree with this statement. I dissagree with this statement because I believe if a student is having a problem with someone, than it shoud be discussed with someone. It does not really matter who it is that they talk to, just that they gets talked about with someone.
The person you talk to could be a teacher, a parent, or if it is a person who is creating the problem, then you could talk to them. If the teacher you tell does nothing, go to the vice principal, if still nothing is happening, then go to the principal. If that still is not working, then go strait to the bully, and talk to the bully. Just get what had happened out there, in the school system. A witness could also help.
Having a wittness or trusted friend could also help with your convictions. If the friend, or friends, you tell believe you, he/she could help. Some one who saw what was happening to you could tell whoever you told about what had happened to you. Just be careful who you tell, if you do not want what happened going all around school.
On the other hand, telling someone could make your problem worse. If the bully told you not to tell anyone, then telling someone will make it worse. If the bully that told you not to tell anyone, then if they find out, then they would mabey hurt you, and make things worse. But don't let that happen by standing up for yourself.
If you stand up to the bully, then it will show the bully that you are brave enough to do that. It will show that your brave enough because, well you stood up for yourself. If you do, then you have a better chance that the bully will stop. So by standing up for yourself, you have told the bully that you are done with getting bullied.
Another point is that if you are having trouble in a class, then you should talk to your teacher to see if they offer extra haelp before or after school. Getting extra help before or after school, to study, then your grades will get better, and you will feel better about your grades. Your self esteem will get better, and your attitude about the class will get better.
In conclusion, if you have a problem, you should have a disscusion about it with a teacher, vice principal, principal, sports instuctor, or a parent. Talking to someone about your problem can make it a lot better for everyone. Your self esteem will get better, and then your attitude will change for the better. If it is a problem you have with a person, tham telling someone about it, or talking directly to the person will help you and anyone else who has encontered the person. Telling someone will help.
